For me, it’s like… look, a Rolex Submariner is a SWEET looking watch. I ain’t gonna lie. But am I about to drop, like, ten grand on a watch? Absolutely not. I’d rather put a down payment on a used car, y’know? So, the allure of a replica is… obvious. It’s the *look*. It’s the vibe.

I saw one comment that said a $300 Seiko is better quality than a $700 rep. And… they might be right, tbh. Seiko makes some solid stuff. But…it’s not a Rolex. And *that’s* where it gets messy. Are you trying to fool people? Are you trying to look richer than you are? Because *that’s* kinda lame. I get the point of the person who says people buy them to show off. But, like, what if you just genuinely like the design? Is that so wrong?
