First off, they’ve got a *lot* of followers – 57k! That’s gotta mean something, right? And almost 7,000 posts? Holy moly. That’s a lot of handbag content. I can only imagine the number of photos of Chanel bags they post…
Speaking of Chanel, they seem to be *all* about those vintage finds. They say you can find “rare unicorn pieces” – which, ngl, sounds kinda magical. I’m a sucker for a good vintage find, espesh if it’s a Chanel. I mean, who isn’t? My auntie always says a good handbag is an investment, and she’s usually right…even if she is a bit of a spendthrift.
They’ve got two boutique showrooms in Melbourne, which, sadly, is on the other side of the world to me. 356 Collins Street, for anyone who *is* in Melbourne and wants to pop by. I am slightly jealous, I must admit. I’d LOVE to just browse through a shop full of pre-loved designer bags. Maybe one day!
One thing I’m a bit confused about is their second Instagram account, @thepurseaffair.luxe. Why two accounts? Maybe one’s just for the *super* high-end stuff? Or maybe it’s a marketing thing? I dunno, but I’ll prolly follow both just in case I miss out on something.
Oh! They also seem to do consignment. So you can buy *and* sell your bags through them. That’s actually kinda smart. Get rid of that Louis Vuitton you haven’t touched in five years and make some money? Yes, please! They talk about pop-up dates, but I can’t find any current ones. Maybe they need to update their FAQ section a bit, lol.
And they even give a condition rating, which I appreciate. “9.3/10 Excellent Condition” for one bag they feature? That’s pretty good, right? They seem pretty transparent, pointing out “light rubbing on corner, minor rubbing on logo.” Honesty is key, I think.
