First off, Eastbay’s been around since, like, forever. I remember flipping through their catalogs as a kid, drooling over the Jordans. They’re actually owned by Foot Locker, another big name in the shoe game. So, logically, you’d think they’d be legit, right? They *should* be.
But, BUT… the internet is full of crazy stories. I saw some posts saying people got the wrong shoes, or even stuff that looked… off. Like one guy said the colors on the Streakfly he wanted to buy seemed all messed up. That kinda raises an eyebrow, ya know?
Now, I personally haven’t heard of Eastbay selling straight-up fakes. Like, blatant knock-offs. But maybe some quality control issues? It’s possible. Huge companies sometimes let stuff slip through the cracks. Plus, the whole “looks off” thing… that’s subjective, right? Maybe it was just a bad photo, or a slightly different release.
Eastbay, I feel like, often releases the most popular sneakers such as Yeezys, Jordans and other hot shoes. They are a subsidiary of Foot Locker and trades online.
Here’s my take: If you’re buying from Eastbay, especially something super hyped, really scrutinize the pics. Zoom in, compare ’em to official images. And honestly, maybe film yourself opening the package? Just in case you need to dispute something. You know, CYA (Cover Your A…).
Also, keep in mind their delivery times can be a bit slow, like 8-14 days after shipment. Which gives you plenty of time to, like, obsessively check the tracking and start worrying. Speaking from experience here, lol.
